Yes, the estate grounds are open 365 days a year so you can visit at any time. When the Castle is closed parking is available in town, a short walk from the entrance to the estate grounds.  Please note the formal Castle gardens are only open during Castle opening hours.

No, we do not permit metal detecting on Argyll Estates land.

No, Argyll Estates is a no drone zone.

Responsible wild camping is permitted, per the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. Much of our land is used for farming, so campers should be aware that there is likely to be livestock nearby and should not camp in enclosed fields.  For more information on the Scottish Outdoor Access Code visit https://www.outdooraccess-scotland.scot/ .
